Stanford basketball star Cameron Brink has signed with New Balance, becoming the first women’s basketball player to join the shoe and apparel company. Brink, a senior who averaged 15.1 points per game last season, will appear in ad campaigns for New Balance.

Other basketball players with New Balance marketing deals include the NBA’s Jamal Murray, Kawhi Leonard, Zach LaVine, and Dejounte Murray. MLB star Shohei Ohtani also has an endorsement deal with the company.

Brink is not the first Stanford athlete to sign with New Balance after Cardinal track and field star Roisin Willis became the brand’s first NIL athlete with a deal in July. New Balance’s business commitment to track and field includes a facility called “The Track,” which opened in Boston last year to serve as a training facility for its sponsored athletes.

New Balance says Brink will “work with the footwear and apparel design teams to influence future product.” Brink, who has 308,000 followers on Instagram, has signed other NIL deals with Buick, Chegg, Urban Outfitters, Hyperice, and Celsius, among other brands.

New Balance reported sales of $5.3 billion in 2022. Earlier this year, New Balance formed a partnership with NBA and NFL superagent Rich Paul to launch a sportswear brand called Klutch Athletics. Ambassadors for Klutch Athletics by New Balance include Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young, and the apparel brand is being sold across Dick’s Sporting Goods, Foot Locker, and other retail locations.
