Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany have put their Missouri ranch house on the market with a $2.9 million asking price.
The home was built in 1953 and is located in Country Club District, an exclusive neighborhood in Kansas City, Mo. Mahomes, and his wife purchased the house for $1.9 million in 2019 and then added some $400,000 in renovations, according to Dirt.
Highlights of the nearly 4,800-square-foot home include a family room with a fireplace and wet bar, blonde hardwood floors, a hot tub, three bedrooms and four baths, dining rooms, and a sunroom. Outdoor amenities of the home include a putting green, heated pool, fire pit, and five-car garage.
The Chiefs signed Mahomes to a 10-year, $503 million deal in 2020 that remains the largest athlete contract in U.S. sports history and the third-biggest globally behind Lionel Messi’s deal signed with FC Barcelona in 2017 and Cristiano Ronaldo’s deal with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Mahomes is under contract with Kansas City through 2031, and his other properties include a Dallas-area mansion, a two-bedroom Missouri condo, and eight acres of land in Kansas City’s Loch Lloyd community.
The two-time Super Bowl champion has ownership stakes in three Kansas City sports teams: MLB’s Royals, the NWSL’s Current, and Sporting Kansas City in MLS. Despite his Chiefs’ contract being worth a half-billion, Mahomes’ $45 million salary for the upcoming 2023 NFL season ranks seventh among quarterback annual salaries, per Spotrac.
