  • Account Executive, Brand Partnerships (US - Remote)

    About the Role

    FOS positions brands to our audience of influential business leaders across sports, entertainment, fitness, finance, real estate, media, tech, and other sports-adjacent industries. 

    We are looking for a seasoned media sales seller to help position the FOS brand to advertisers and agencies with excitement and drive growth at a pivotal time in the company’s lifecycle. FOS is a fast-paced, high-growth organization and the ideal candidate should have newsletter-specific sales experience developing a roster of B2B brand partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Represent the various Front Office Sports digital media platforms to key brands in the advertising marketplace 
    • Responsible for driving revenue by selling integrated packages to advertisers
    • Prospect, cultivate, develop and maintain relationships with high level advertising decision makers at brands and agencies
    • Engage and remain in communication with brand partners throughout the entire activation process from post-sales kick off through campaign execution and wrap-up
    • Build custom partnership proposals and presentations for potential brand clients

    Minimum Requirements

    • 4+ years of digital newsletter media sales experience and a proven track record of meeting or over exceeding sales goals
    • Knowledgeable and passionate about digital media, brand marketing, and strategic partnerships
    • Strong personal relationships with key B2B brands and agency stakeholders 
    • A strong understanding of media sales packaging and selling digital sponsorships
    • Previous success driving RFPs and winning new business
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience selling native newsletter advertising products is a must

  • VP, Finance & Operations (US - Remote)

    About the Role

    The ideal candidate is someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get things done. As the VP, Finance and Operations you will be responsible for the financial and strategic support across the Front Office Sports business. 

    This role will handle financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, as well as establishing and tracking KPIs and providing strategic analysis and guidance on all growth marketing initiatives (acquisition, awareness, and retention) as they relate to the company goals. The VP, Finance and Operations will lead the implementation and management of the operating model and work closely with each department head to achieve subscriber, revenue, and profit goals.

    Key Responsibilities  

    • Produce and review financial models for internal stakeholders including the FOS board of directors
    • Build revenue forecasting models in conjunction with the SVP, Brand Partnerships and SVP, Partnership Marketing 
    • Maintain core finance and accounting reports including overseeing the company’s budget and month-end close process
    • Manage all AR, AP, and corporate governance-related items including overseeing tax prep with FOS’s accounting partners
    • Assess all areas of the business under operations with FOS executive leadership to determine whether the current resources are appropriately aligned with FOS’s strategic vision and operational objectives while leading any necessary changes as needed
    • Define and track key company KPIs 
    • ROI analysis of growth tactics and other investment opportunities
    • Data analysis and data quality management
    • Provide unbiased partnership to instill discipline and ensure business opportunities are pursued and executed efficiently and effectively
    • Maintain robust and integrated operational and long-term models and associated analytics

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in Finance or Management Consulting
    • Previous experience in streaming or a direct-to-consumer digital / media business is required
    • Experience managing a corporate P&L and financial forecasts with a strong understanding of advertising revenue and growth model forecasting 
    • Experience working in tandem with key executive management teams and investors
    • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
    • Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes
    • Must be a creative problem solver and a quick thinker
    • Effective communication, influence, and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional organizational skills and adept problem-solving skills
    • Highly attentive to details, excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize
    • Experience working in a fast-paced and hyper-growth environment like a startup

    • Experience at a newsletter business and an affinity for sports and the business of sports are a plus

  • Executive Editor (US - Remote)

    About the Role

    Front Office Sports is seeking an Executive Editor who will help create and execute editorial content strategy in collaboration with the Editor in Chief and Chief Content Officer. The Executive Editor will be hands-on with the newsroom in articulating and amplifying FOS’ mission of providing modern sports consumers with news and trends that matter. 

    The ideal editor will be comfortable running a remote newsroom and must have excellent communication, feedback and multitasking skills to lead a group of journalists with varying levels of experience. The Executive Editor will report into the EIC.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To help define and hone FOS mission and voice
    • Manage and mentor direct reports and ensure FOS’ editors are working collaboratively across newsletters, social media and the website
    • Act as EIC’s right hand, leading the story ideation process, production and quality control
    • Lead and coordinate coverage across FOS platforms on all major breaking news moments
    • Top edit daily story lineups as well as editorial content as necessary 
    • Mentor and coach ambitious editorial leadership team
    • Use traffic data and social media to optimize performance and enable growth
    • Partner with other key departments when necessary, including marketing, sales, events

    Ideal Skills and Qualifications

    • At least 7 years of experience overseeing all facets of the publishing
      process, from ideation to publication – including the scheduling of posts, promotion on newsletters, social as well as coverage of FOS events
    • Comfortable being a player/coach and pitching in when/where necessary
    • Excellent communication, leadership, feedback and multitasking skills
    • A commitment to storytelling that is informative and shareable
    • A knowledge and a passion for the business of sports

    About the Role

    Front Office Sports has an opening for a writer to produce daily news stories for Front Office Sports. The ideal candidate should either have a background covering the business of sports or have business-related news judgment, as well as experience with cross-platform content creation. We are on the hunt for writers with a passion for covering the impact of sports on wide-ranging topics that include business deals, retail, crypto, media, real estate, and more. If you are a news junkie and enjoy covering the power and influence sports have on business and culture, this job is for you!

    Role & Responsibilities

    • Stay on top of the latest business of sports news and trends impacting players, teams, leagues, fans, and brands across a wide swath of topics such as deals, gaming, markets, media, real estate, technology, and more. 
    • Attend daily news meetings to discuss story ideation and line-ups
    • Report into Managing Editor of News/Features where you will pitch and accept story assignments to be written on deadline  
    • Produce 5 news stories/articles daily for the Front Office Sports website 
    • Engage on social media to promote your work, the work of colleagues, and the broader FOS brand.

    Minimum Requirements

    • 2+ years of writing experience in business/sports media with strong writing skills
    • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate
    • Knowledge of social media platforms and engagement strategies
    • An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help continue to build something new and fresh
    • Ability to carry over any existing relationships with sources at teams, leagues, agencies, athletes, and other sports figures
