Myles Garrett continues to expand his sports ownership portfolio even as he dominates against National Football League offensive lines.

The Cleveland Browns defensive superstar has agreed to a deal to become a minority owner of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. As part of the agreement, Garrett will become an official brand ambassador for the Cavs.

“I have admired the Cavaliers organization’s hard work, tenacity and dedication to the community since my early days in Cleveland,” Garrett said. “To have the opportunity to join this impressive and purpose-filled franchise, under Dan [Gilbert’s] leadership, is truly a dream come true.”

Klutch Sports Group’s Shey Olaoshebikan negotiated the deal on behalf of Garrett.

The Cavaliers are Garrett’s second venture into sports team ownership.

In August, the 2017 No. 1 overall draft pick bought into the ownership group for Major League Pickleball’s Texas Ranchers, along with NFL players Micah Parsons, Bijan Robinson, and C.J. Stroud, as well as golfer Scottie Scheffler and tennis player Taylor Fritz. The Ranchers’ ownership now also includes musicians Lil Wayne and The Kid LAROI.

Garrett has been one of the NFL’s most dominant defensive players this season, racking up 7.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. He and Parsons are the co-favorites for Defensive Player of the Year at +200.
