Sold-Out PGA Championship Tickets Drop Below Face Value Prices

Tickets to the PGA Championship have been sold out since July, but prices on the resale market have been dropping.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — Tickets to the PGA Championship have been sold out since July, but prices on the resale market have been dropping.

Face value for the Championship+ general admission passes, which include unlimited food and non-alcoholic beverages, ranged from $199 for the first round to $299 on the weekend, before taxes and fees, a PGA of America spokesperson told Front Office Sports.

But as of Wednesday morning, prices for all four rounds were significantly lower on SeatGeek, the official ticket provider of the PGA Championship.

  • Round 1, Thursday: $143
  • Round 2, Friday: $179
  • Round 3, Saturday: $233
  • Final Round, Sunday: $212

After some early forecasts of rain, the weather during the tournament is now expected to be mostly clear, and not a factor in turning any fans away.

Crowds were strong during the first two practice rounds, which cost $79 for a Monday or Tuesday ticket, and did not sell out. Admission on Wednesday, also not sold out, costs $109.

Aronimink Golf Club, which resides just outside Philadelphia, has been preparing to welcome around 200,000 fans during the PGA Championship, which is run by the PGA of America. Strong demand from ticket buyers in Pennsylvania last summer led to daily grounds passes selling out shortly after going on sale.

Cost of Doing Business

The somewhat weak resale market at the PGA Championship comes after the high-priced tickets to last fall’s Ryder Cup, also operated by the PGA of America, sold for more than $1,000 on the secondary market—a noticeable bump over their $750 face value.

PGA Championship ticket prices are slightly higher than what they were at the first major of the year—Masters tickets cost $160 for competition rounds, up from $140 in 2025. Beyond the price increase in April, Augusta National continued its crackdown on the secondary market.

U.S. Open tickets start at just over $200 for tournament days, which are June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
