New Balance has introduced a multisport facility called “The Track,” located in Boston — the second facility the company has opened this year.

After a $20 million renovation, the New Balance opened its 80,000-square-foot athletic footwear factory in Methuen, Massachusetts, last month.

The facility is home to more than 90 employees and is soon expected to more than double its workforce and production.

Located across from the company’s global headquarters, The Track serves as a training facility for Team New Balance, as well as professional and community athletes.

The facility, which features a dual-terrain indoor track and basketball, soccer, and volleyball courts, will host competitions year-round and house New Balance’s Sports Research Lab.

Built on previously developed land, The Track is in close proximity to the Auerbach Center and Warrior Ice Arena, the Boston Celtics’ and Boston Bruins’ respective practice facilities.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
