Matt Jones, Myron Medcalf Leaders to Replace Clinton Yates on ESPN Radio

The duo currently hosts “Sunday Mornings with Matt and Myron” on the network.

ESPN

Matt Jones and Myron Medcalf are the leading candidates to replace Clinton Yates on ESPN Radio, sources told Front Office Sports.

A deal has not been finalized and negotiations are still ongoing, sources said. An ESPN spokesperson declined to comment.

Jones and Medcalf currently host Sunday Mornings with Matt and Myron on the network.

Yates hosted Clinton & Friends on ESPN Radio, plus SiriusXM and the ESPN app, from 10 a.m. to noon ET, in between UnSportsmanLike and The Rich Eisen Show. His final day with the network was last Friday.

Jones also hosts Kentucky Sports Radio on 630 WLAP in Lexington and Louisville, and it is syndicated across the state. That show also airs from 10 a.m. to noon, and local logistics would need to be worked out in order for him to take the national ESPN Radio job. Medcalf joined ESPN in a contributor role in 2011 and was hired full-time as a college basketball reporter in 2013.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
