Kelsey Plum Latest Star Endorser to Leave Under Armour

Plum first signed with the company in 2022, but wore Adidas shoes for the Unrivaled season.

Kelsey Plum will have a new look for the upcoming WNBA season.

The four-time All-Star is no longer with Under Armour.

“We appreciate the partnership we’ve had with Kelsey and everything she’s contributed,” an Under Armour spokesperson told Front Office Sports in a statement.

“As we sharpen our focus and build for what’s next, we’re moving in different directions. We wish her the best.”

Under Armour’s remaining roster of WNBA players includes Marina Mabrey, Diamond Miller, Laeticia Amihere, and Nika Mühl.

Plum signed with Under Armour in 2022 and was in the final year of her deal. She wore Under Armour shoes throughout the 2025 season, but was wearing Adidas shoes during the 2026 Unrivaled season.

In January, Under Armour told FOS that Plum was still with the brand despite wearing Adidas shoes, saying she was experiencing some issues with her shoes.

“We were recently made aware of an issue impacting Kelsey’s training and performance,” Under Armour said in a statement at the time. “We are working closely with her and her team on a solution to support her needs.”

But any adjustments to the shoes were going to take a significant amount of time, according to the source. Given that Plum’s deal was set to expire later this year, the two sides parted ways.

It’s unclear whether Plum has already signed a deal with Adidas. Adidas and WME Sports, Plum’s agency, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Plum signed a one-year, $999,999 deal to return to the Los Angeles Sparks on April 12.

Plum’s departure from Under Armour comes just months after Steph Curry separated from the brand after 12 years. Curry had his own sub brand, Curry Brand, but FOS reported that he was able to maintain all of his IP after the separation.

Curry has been a sneaker free agent ever since. He’s worn several brands including Nike, Adidas, and Anta.

De’Aaron Fox, who was the first athlete signed to Curry Brand, told FOS in February that he is still signed to Under Armour.

“Technically I’m still an Under Armour athlete, so we’re going through that,” Fox said in response to an FOS question in Los Angeles. “But it was a lot going on. It’s funny, it was actually happening while [the Warriors] were in San Antonio. We’re still going through some stuff.”

UA has at least managed to keep one major star after baseball star Bryce Harper agreed to a new deal in early January. The deal is for six years, according to The Baltimore Banner
