In the 1989 movie “Field of Dreams,” one of the characters asks, “Is this heaven?” Kevin Costner famously replies, “No, it’s Iowa.”

For baseball lovers, the site is set to become even more sacred than it already is.

The new owners of the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa, announced plans to invest $80 million to create a state-of-the-art baseball and softball complex. The plans include several fields, team dormitories, a hotel, and other improvements.

All of the renovations are expected to be fully completed in 2025.

Investment firm Go The Distance purchased controlling interest in the site last year for an undisclosed amount, with plans to attract more tourists to Iowa.

Last season, the Yankees-White Sox game played there attracted an average 5.9 million viewers across TV and streaming — the most-viewed regular-season game on FOX since 2005.

The Cubs and Reds are scheduled to play there Aug. 11.
