Through App, Fans Discover New Experiences at the College Football Playoff National Championship

Atlanta-based company is helping provide once-in-a-lifetime experiences for fans.

Attending the College Football Playoff National Championship is an experience in and of itself. Attending it and walking away with game-used merchandise elevates it to another level, and it’s one that Atlanta-based Experience has brought to life for fans inside and outside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Collaborating with the College Football Playoff (CFP), Experience has developed unique opportunities for fans to engage in and around the game. From front row access at media day, to attending the champions press conference, there is a wealth of offerings for every level of fandom.

“The College Football Playoff is one of the premier sporting events of the year. With the extreme excitement around the National Championship Game, combined with the incomparable ambience of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, we were able to develop a menu of sensational experiences for fans. Together with the CFP, we looked closely at what we could offer to fans before, during and after the event to bring them closer to their team and take their CFP experience to the ultimate level,” said Junior Gaspard, President and CEO of Experience.

While the experiences offered by the company do have a cost element, by creating compelling packages, they are able to offer something that no other company can. Thus, positioning them to capitalize on the extreme passion of college football fans across the country.

The company, which works with teams like the Braves, Cowboys, Penguins and Warriors, is able to leverage their vast network of partners to create the customized offerings they deliver to fans.

“Working with more than 350 partners around the globe, we are well-versed in quick turnarounds as well as high demand, high profile events. The CFP is a tremendous partner, easy to work with, and very responsive, which makes our job easier. We also work with many colleges and universities, so these same fans attending the CFP are typically aware of our platform and have begun to expect access to these types of experiences on game day,” said Gaspard.

Beyond giving fans the ultimate College Football Playoff experience, what makes the experiences unique at the CFP is that all proceeds benefit their Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, which serves to elevate the teaching profession by inspiring and empowering teachers.

“Experience has worked with other partners who have had proceeds, or a portion of the proceeds benefiting charity, so again, this is something we are familiar with. Our mobile technology platform is also quite flexible, so when a team, venue or partner like the CFP provides us with these requirements, it’s a seamless integration. For the College Football Playoff, the experiences are integrated within the official CFBPlayoff App, making it easy for the fan to use and easy for the CFP to implement.”

At the end of the day, whether they are looking to drive incremental revenue for their partners, or find a way to raise as much money as they can for a charity, there are still important KPIs to hit.

For Experience, these include KPIs not only on the business side, but on the fan side as well.

“For the teams and venues, we look to generate sales from the experiences, so certain financial benchmarks are set and analyzed,” said Gaspard. “From the fan perspective, we look at what experiences are ‘sold out’ as compared to those that are not, so we can gain a better understanding of fan preference for the future.”

Although it takes a village to put on an event like the College Football Playoff, all of its partners have one thing in common, putting the fans first.

“We are innovative and flexible and our #1 goal is to ensure fans have fun at live events, which we do every day.”
