Steph Curry Upgrades to $30M Bay Area Mansion

  • Curry sold his previous Atherton home for $31.2 million last fall.

According to new reports, Steph Curry substantially upgraded his living situation — and actually made money doing it.

In December 2020, Curry purchased a 17,761-square-foot home on 1.7 acres of land in Atherton, California — the United States’ most expensive zip code — for $30 million.

He then sold his previous Atherton mansion — a 7,535-square-foot residence on 1.18 acres — to Chinese billionaire Forrest Li for $31.2 million in fall 2021.

Curry’s new Bay Area estate contains seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and is outfitted primarily with stucco and glass for its exterior. The outdoor area also features a pool, sundeck, cabana, and manicured lawn.

Inside, a grand atrium with chandelier leads to spacious dining and living spaces, as well as a movie theater, full seated bar, and wine cellar. The master bedroom has a fireplace, wet bar, and a top-of-the-line marble bath.

Curry can certainly afford to upgrade: In May, he was listed as the fifth-highest-paid athlete in the world on Forbes’ annual list by bringing in $92.8 million.
