Max Kellerman and LeSean McCoy will not be returning for the second season of DAZN’s Inside the Ring show, Front Office Sports has learned.
A spokesperson for Omaha Productions, which produces the show, did not immediately respond to a request for comment, nor did third-party reps for DAZN.
DAZN announced earlier Tuesday that Hollywood star Mario Lopez—a boxing aficionado—is joining the show. Boxing insider Mike Coppinger announced earlier this week that he is returning to the show. It was not immediately clear whether the reimagined show will include other panelists or who they would be.
Last week, Total Boxing reported that Saudi official Turki Alalshikh has agreed to sell a controlling stake in Ring Magazine to DAZN. While it aired and continues to air on DAZN, Inside the Ring is part of the Ring umbrella.
Therefore, this news would not affect Kellerman’s role on Zuffa Boxing events—Zuffa is a joint venture between Saudi’s Sela and TKO—or on the mega-fights such as Canelo-Crawford and Fury-Joshua that Alalshikh and TKO collaborate on.
Inside the Ring will air twice a week on DAZN and Ring’s YouTube channels.
