Another day, another major esports announcement.
Yesterday, Major League Soccer announced that PlayStation from Sony Interactive Entertainment, as the presenting sponsor of the inaugural eMLS Cup, which makes its debut this week at PAX East.

The PlayStation4 console will be featured across eMLS programming as part of a joint strategy to support FIFA competitive gaming both in the US and Canada.
The eMLS Cup represents the beginning of the 2018 competitive programming for eMLS. Players in the cup will be vying for berths in the EA Sports FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs on the Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup in August, where they will fight to be crowned the undisputed FIFA 18 World Champion.
