The UFC shows no sign of slowing down its global dominance of combat sports. Heavyweight matchups in billion-dollar venues continue to intrigue fans worldwide.

In the heavyweight division, the highest earners make millions to fight on the biggest stages.

Jon “Bones” Jones has made $7.3 million in career earnings and is the highest-earning UFC heavyweight. He started his career as a light-heavyweight, debuting in that division in 2008.

Jones became the youngest champion in UFC history when he won his first title at age 23. He’s since switched to heavyweight and won the heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane in 2023.

Stipe Miocic comes in second with $6.6 million in career earnings. He fought for the first time in the UFC in 2011. Miocic holds the heavyweight record for most consecutive successful title defenses with three.

He’s finished 15 of his 20 wins by knockout.

Third is Andrei Arlovski with $5.6 million in career earnings. He’s the oldest active heavyweight at 44 years old. Arlovski made his UFC debut in 2000. He was the heavyweight champion from 2005 to 2006.

Ciryl Gane comes in fourth, earning $2.5 million in his career. The 34-year-old has a record of 12-2 in the UFC. Gane won his first fight in the first round by submission in 2019. He has three first-round finishes in his career.

Fifth is Derrick Lewis with $1.1 million in career earnings. He made his octagon debut in 2014 and has the most knockouts in UFC history (15). 82% of his wins are by knockout (KO) or technical knockout (TKO).

The earnings gap between the highest-earning heavyweights is staggering. The top three highest-earning heavyweights have each made over $5 million in their UFC careers.

In contrast, the last 10 highest-earning heavyweights have made a combined $1.5 million in their UFC careers.
