WNBA All-Star Game Ticket Prices Exceed $200, Sellout Expected

Both the All-Star Game and Friday night contests are expected to sell out.

For all the complications leading up to WNBA All-Star weekend, this year’s events are poised to be the league’s most successful yet.

The get-in price for the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday is $233, more than twice as much as last week ($105) when it was slightly cheaper than the Friday night All-Star contests, according to TicketData. The current get-in price for Friday’s 3-Point Contest and Shooting Stars is $115, a slight uptick from last week, and nearly four times higher than the gameday get-in prices last year.

While the All-Star exhibition is still more affordable than NBA All-Star Games, the current get-in price is about in line with some recent NHL and even a few MLB All-Star Games.

Last year’s WNBA All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana, which fits about 17,200 fans, had a gameday get-in price of $71. The game sold out, but the Friday night event the night before drew around 15,000 fans.

The 2026 WNBA All-Star Game will be held at United Center, home of the NBA’s Bulls and NHL’s Blackhawks, which can seat more than 20,000 fans. The 3-Point Contest and Shooting Stars event Friday will be played at Wintrust Arena, where the Chicago Sky normally play, which has about half the capacity of United Center.

The ticket price increase in the secondary ticket market is a result of increased demand for this year’s All-Star events, TicketData founder Keith Pagello told FOS. Saturday’s game is already sold out on the primary market, while there are few tickets remaining for Friday’s contests.

Ticket platform SeatGeek told FOS it’s seeing order volume three times higher compared to last year’s game as of Thursday morning, with an average sales price of $431—up 13%. It also said its order volume for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game has already surpassed last year’s entire game by 15%.

Ticket sales are also eight times higher than in 2022, the last time the All-Star Game was held in Chicago, according to StubHub. And there weren’t any tickets sold for the Friday contests that year because it was an invite-only event due to security concerns

The higher demand and ticket prices come despite no Sky players participating in any of the All-Star events. The Sky (9–18) have the third-worst record in the league, and traded away Angel Reese, a three-time All-Star, before the start of the season.

3-Point Contest

Saturday’s game is expected to feature many of the league’s top stars, including Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart. A few notable names missing will be Napheesa Collier, Sabrina Ionescu, and Kelsey Plum, who was named an All-Star but is currently injured and was replaced by Kahleah Copper.

But the bigger issue is the names missing in the 3-Point Contest.

Clark, who is fifth in the league in three-pointers per game, is not making her 3-Point Contest debut this year. Neither is last year’s winner Sabrina Ionescu. The contest is headlined by 2026 No. 1 pick Azzi Fudd as well as All-Stars Rhyne Howard and Marina Mabrey.

A source familiar with the situation told FOS that multiple players declined invites. But Ionescu told reporters Wednesday that she never received an official invite: “I can’t decline an offer I never got officially invited to.”

Minnesota Lynx sharpshooter Kayla McBride, who is tied with Clark in three-pointers per game, said in an Instagram Story on Wednesday that she received a “half ass invite” earlier this week. Clark has not commented on her participation.

Clark was expected to participate in last year’s 3-Point Contest in front of her home crowd, but withdrew after sustaining an injury days before the contest.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
