Reggie Miller Joining NBA on NBC As a Lead Color Commentator

Reggie Miller has finalized a deal to be one of NBC’s top NBA analysts when the league returns to the network later in 2025.

Reggie Miller is getting ready to learn “Roundball Rock.”

The former Pacers sharpshooter is poised to be a top color commentator when the NBA returns to NBC next season, sources told Front Office Sports. He will call games alongside play-by-play broadcasters Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle. An NBC Sports spokesperson declined to comment. A rep for Miller could not immediately be reached for comment.

The Athletic previously reported that NBC was “targeting” Miller for a role.

Miller has been an analyst at TNT, which is exiting the NBA package after this season, for 20 years and has notably worked often with Kevin Harlan.

Miller has a connection to the NBA’s halcyon days of the 1990s and early 2000s, when his rivalry with the Knicks—and superfan Spike Lee—frequently aired on NBC.

In addition to Tirico, Eagle, and Miller, NBC has also tapped Jamal Crawford as a color commentator. Sources said Miller and Crawford will rotate as the top analysts, working with both Tirico and Eagle.

Disney’s ABC and ESPN, NBCUniversal’s NBC and Peacock, and Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service are combining to pay $77 billion over 11 years for NBA rights.

Amazon Prime’s play-by-play broadcasters will include Ian Eagle and Harlan. The tech behemoth has also announced that Taylor Rooks, Dirk Nowitzki, and Blake Griffin will be a part of the studio team.
