Fundamentals: Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Chris Haynes

Welcome to Episode 2 of Fundamentals with Ian Thomas, a Front Office Sports digital show featuring leading operators and voices.

On Fundamentals, FOS Editor Ian Thomas interviews business leaders and subject experts to break down the fundamental topics and trends driving the sports industry.

On Thursday, we welcomed Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Chris Haynes to discuss the potential return of NBA action and the actions the league has taken since suspending its season on March 11th.

More on Chris Haynes

A California native with a reputation for far-reaching connections to players and executives across the NBA, Haynes began his career with NBC Sports Northwest in 2010. He moved to the Cleveland Plain Dealer in 2014, becoming the go-to source for LeBron James’ dramatic return to Ohio, before landing at ESPN in 2016. There, Haynes wrote for the website and contributed as an NBA analyst and reporter on the network’s daily studio rotation. In 2018, Haynes was named Yahoo Sports’ Senior NBA Insider, where he continues to break key storylines while covering the league at large and hosts the “Posted Up with Chris Haynes” podcast. Haynes also currently serves as a sideline reporter for the “NBA on TNT” Tuesday Night franchise and as a NBA contributor on FOX Sports.
