A record 91,648 fans made the trip to Camp Nou to watch FC Barcelona’s 5-1 Champions League first-leg semi-final win over VfL Wolfsburg , the largest crowd ever for a women’s soccer match.
According to club officials, attendance topped the 91,553 fans who watched last month’s 5-2 win over rival Real Madrid in El Clasico.
The 1999 World Cup final at the Rose Bowl — between the U.S. and China — previously held the record for a women’s game (90,185).
Barcelona’s win on Friday is the latest victory for a dominant club.
They lead Spain’s top flight by a massive 22 points and haven’t lost a match since a 2-3 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais in August 2021.
The Blaugrana will make the trip to Volkswagen Arena for a rematch with Wolfsburg on April 30.
