Coach Prime’s impact on college football stretches beyond Boulder as ticket demand surges to see the Deion Sanders-coached Colorado Buffaloes play Oregon in Eugene this Saturday.

Before this season began, TickPick’s average purchase price for Colorado-Oregon was $93. Since Colorado has started 3-0 with wins over TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State, the average purchase price for the Buffs’ upcoming matchup in Oregon has shot up 131% to $215. The average purchase price of the Oregon-Colorado game is also 115% more expensive than Oregon’s home average purchase price ($100).

TickPick notes that Oregon-Colorado’s average ticket price is more expensive than 14 of 16 upcoming Week 3 NFL games. Only Bears-Chiefs and Raiders-Steelers are more expensive. For Oregon, their game against Colorado is the Ducks’ most expensive ticket of the season, with a current cheapest get-in price of $216—four times as much as the cheapest ticket sold ($50) for Colorado-Oregon before the season kickoff.

The biggest purchase for Oregon-Colorado was $1,592 spent on four tickets for $398 apiece. The best seat remaining at Oregon’s Autzen Stadium is Section 12, Row 7, for $718 a ticket.

The Colorado faithful are traveling to see the Sanders show in Eugene, as 10% of all purchases on TickPick come from Colorado zip codes. Oregon zip codes account for 34% of ticket sales, followed by California (23%), Washington (14%) and New York (6%).

It is the final season of Colorado and Oregon being in the Pac-12 conference amid the league’s collapse. Colorado will join the Big 12 in 2024, while Oregon is headed to the Big Ten.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
