The soccer-obsessed nation of Argentina is ensuring that all of its citizens will be able to celebrate its new world champions properly.

The Argentine government has declared Tuesday a bank holiday across the country. The victorious men’s national team will travel to the obelisk in Buenos Aires to celebrate the world title with fans, per the team’s official Twitter account.

“I want to be in Argentina to see how crazy it is,” said national hero Lionel Messi. “I want them to wait for me, I can’t wait to go there and enjoy it with them.”

La Albiceleste arrived in Buenos Aires in the very early hours Tuesday morning — and were greeted by a crowd of thousands.

Argentina’s thrilling 3-3 penalty kicks victory over France is already being considered one of the greatest finals in World Cup history.
