He may not graduate high school until 2025, but Bryce James is already attracting the type of NIL attention befitting his basketball royalty last name.
On Monday, Klutch Sports Group announced that James has signed with the agency for NIL representation.
Klutch was founded by agent Rich Paul — a close friend of Bryce’s father, LeBron James — in 2012. LeBron has long been the star of the agency’s roster, featuring many NBA superstars, such as Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, and Trae Young.
Although Bryce has not signed any NIL deals yet, he’s sure to attract at least the same type of fervor as his older brother, Bronny — who signed NIL deals with Nike and Beats by Dre in the span of a week in October.
Bryce, a sophomore, and Bronny, a senior, both play for Sierra Canyon, a private school in the Chatsworth area of Los Angeles, CA.
Bronny is a four-star recruit on most major recruiting services and has received offers to play at Memphis, Ohio State, and USC, among others. Bryce has not been given a star rating yet — but ESPN’s Brian Windhorst recently said that some NBA evaluators see him as a better prospect than Bronny.
Bronny is currently the top-ranked athlete on On3’s NIL list, with an NIL valuation of $7.5 million. Bryce ranks 22nd with a $1.1 million valuation.
No. 25 Sierra Canyon faces off with No. 22 Christ the King (NY) on ESPN2 on Monday night.
