The creators of Fan Controlled Football are getting into basketball.

Fan Controlled Sports & Entertainment (FCSE) recently announced that its next venture will be a basketball league called Fan Controlled Hoops (FCH).

Former NBA player Baron Davis and former NBPA executive director Michele Roberts are both on board as strategic advisors — with Davis already announced as a co-owner of one of the league’s four teams.

The league will begin its inaugural season on Feb. 7, 2023 in Atlanta, where a venue outfitted with a specialty LED-screen-infused basketball court will host 4-on-4 full-court action.

As with its predecessor, FCH will give fans tons of choices for how the game is played.

Before the season, fans will vote to “set the rules, pick the players and earn power-ups for their team.” In games, they will be able to vote on substitutions, as well as on “hot spots” that will light up on the LED court to provide chances for extra points.

“We created a thriving football league with FCF and more importantly, validated our belief that sports fans want to take their fandom to the next level,” said FCSE Co-Founder and CEO Sohrob Farudi in a statement. “We know our model is truly limitless, and with Michele and Baron on board, we are now going to crush it with FCH.”

FCH will be hosting tryouts for players around the country from late October through early January.
