Warriors-Celtics Finals Ticket Prices Hit 2nd-Highest All-Time

  • The secondary market’s current average list price for Warriors-Celtics is $3,241.
  • Attending a possible Game 7 would cost a minimum $1,479 — and $81,533 to sit courtside.
Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

With NBA playoff ratings soaring and a potential Finals classic in the making, ticket prices are rising to new highs as the Warriors and Celtics get set for Thursday’s Game 1.

The secondary market’s average list price for Warriors-Celtics is currently $3,241 — the second-most expensive Finals series since TicketIQ started tracking.

Last year’s Bucks-Suns series fell about $500 short from this year, while the most expensive ticket still belongs to the 2019 Warriors-Raptors Finals, which averaged $3,899 per seat.

Golden State’s home average for the series is $3,526 — highest of the Dubs’ six trips to the Finals since 2015 — while Boston’s average of $2,860 ranks second in Eastern Conference history.

The big-market allure and superstar shine could lead to a bigger spike in ticket prices as the series goes on.

Game 1 tickets currently run from $740 to an eye-watering $25,274. If the series goes seven, it’ll cost a minimum $1,479 to get in the building and $81,533 to sit courtside.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob will finally get to show off Golden State’s Chase Center on the biggest stage: Games 1, 2, 5, and 7 (last two if necessary) will be played at the NBA’s newest arena, built for roughly $1.4 billion in 2019.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
