Univision’s third-quarter revenue was up 20.3% to $754.7 million — a notable bump from $627.6 million in the prior year’s Q3.

The leading Spanish-language content and media company in the U.S. saw ad revenue jump 32.5% year-over-year to $442.7 million, up 15.6% from the same period in 2019.

Univision broadcasts Copa America, the Mexican League, Copa MX, Liga MX, and has partnerships with NFL and MLB teams. It signed a five-year deal with mixed martial arts franchise Combate Americas in March.

The media giant has even more content lined up.

  • In April, Univision announced plans to create the largest Spanish-language media company in the world by merging with Televisa in a $4.8 billion deal. Univision and Televisa’s sports divisions merged in 2019.
  • In June, the company unveiled plans for a Spanish-focused streaming service with expanded sports offerings, set to launch in 2022.

The company’s subscription and licensing revenue increased by $10.4 million, reaching $278 million for the third quarter of 2021 compared to $267.6 million in the same period a year prior.
