A month after returning to streaming platform Twitch on an exclusive multi-year deal, gaming phenom Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has signed with talent agency CAA for representation in all areas, according to The Hollywood Reporter

He will still be managed by his wife, Jessica Blevins.

The 29-year-old Ninja, who tops Twitch’s streaming ranks with 16 million followers — nearly 7 million more than the next most-followed user — is known for playing Fortnite. He’s closing in on half a billion total views of his streams.

Since taking the gaming industry by storm, Ninja has gone on to transcend it like no previous esports player has: he’s appeared on the cover of ESPN the Magazine, launched a signature sneaker with Adidas, published a graphic novel and appeared on “The Masked Singer.”

In July, Ninja told The Hollywood Reporter that he is looking to expand into doing “literally anything and everything Hollywood,” including movies and voice acting. He already has a cameo in the upcoming Ryan Reynolds’ film “Free Guy.”

Ninja has said he makes more than $500,000 per month from streaming.

Prior to his return to Twitch, he had a multi-year deal with Microsoft’s now-defunct streamer Mixer that was reportedly worth between $20 million and $30 million — and reportedly turned down a deal worth double that to go to Facebook Gaming.

Ninja’s signing with CAA falls within a larger trend of sports-adjacent figures, like Peloton instructors, signing with agencies to capitalize on their reach — particularly while viewers are stuck at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
