LeBron James and Kevin Hart Planning YouTube Golf Collab

“We’ve got a big match coming up,” Hart told Front Office Sports Tonight.

LeBron James and Kevin Hart are planning a YouTube golf showdown.

“We’ve got a big match coming up,” Hart told Front Office Sports Tonight during an interview on Wednesday. “We’re just giving ourselves some time to both improve so that when we show up, there’s a nice amount of juice to amplify the concept of the game.”

The NBA star and Hollywood A-lister have both recently created YouTube channels 100% dedicated to golf content—becoming by far the two most famous celebrities to enter the sport’s exploding social media space. James has more than 600,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel and more than five million views across his 18 videos, the first of which featured James competing with his former teammates from the 2016 NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.

Hart’s channel has 82,000 subscribers and nearly three millions views on his six videos. A lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, Hart has been friends with James for years, and now gets to root for the four-time NBA champion on his hometown 76ers.

The collaboration is sure to drive even bigger numbers for both stars. “We want people to tune in and watch,” Hart said. “But right now we said let’s give ourselves a certain bandwidth of space to get better.” Hart wouldn’t disclose when the match will take place, only saying that they are “coming up on the finish line” of negotiations.

The actor and comedian has also launched a golf apparel collection with Fabletics, the activewear brand founded by Kate Hudson that Hart has been working with since 2020. “My new love and my new journey is within the space of golf—starting off at something being bad, trying to get better,” Hart said. “What am I doing it in? What do I look like when I’m doing it?”

Meanwhile, Hart said he’s yet to be invited back to the Masters to caddie at the Par 3 contest again after looping for Bryson DeChambeau in April, but hopes to return. “I feel like I will,” Hart said. “I think me and Bryson are at the table of conversation.” Hart was among the many celebrities and influencers who garnered some of the spotlight at Augusta National this year, including Jason Kelce working the Par 3 contest for ESPN.

DeChambeau missed the cut at the Masters. “As a caddy, I feel like the day before, we were on fire,” Hart said. “So, I feel like he ran away from a lot of the stuff that we discussed that he should have done. He kind of went rogue and went on his own. So this year, going into it, we’ll make it different.”

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
