The 25 Highest-Paid MLB Outfielders

  • Aaron Judge is the highest-paid outfielder at $40 million per year.
  • The Yankees feature 3 of the top 10 in Judge, Soto, and Stanton.
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

In 2024, outfielders are among the highest earners in the sport. With notable names like Aaron Judge, Mike Trout, and Juan Soto in the top five, retaining this level of talent requires significant financial investment.

Aaron Judge, one of the most formidable hitters in baseball, tops the list as the highest-paid outfielder, earning $40 million annually. Last year, Judge signed a massive nine-year, $360 million contract to remain with the Yankees.

Following Judge is Mike Trout, often regarded as one of the greatest baseball players of his generation. The three-time AL MVP signed a twelve-year, $426.5 million contract with the Angels in 2019.

Trailing Trout in the third spot is young star, Juan Soto. After being traded to the Yankees, Soto signed a one-year, $31 million deal. Trea Turner, who now regularly plays shortstop, takes the fourth position. In 2022, Turner signed an 11-year, $300 million contract with the Phillies.

Rounding out the top five is the Brewers’ Christian Yelich, making $26.93 million annually. Yelich signed a seven-year, $188.5 million contract in 2020.
