The XFL has revealed the uniforms — and accompanying equipment partnership — for its member teams ahead of its February 2023 relaunch.

On Wednesday, the league unveiled the Under Armour uniforms for the eight teams in its inaugural season.

The XFL showcased the new threads on ESPN’s SportsCenter; Disney’s family of networks — ESPN, ABC, and FX — are set to broadcast XFL games this season.

That the league settled on an equipment deal with Under Armour is not much of a surprise in context.

XFL owner Dwayne Johnson has partnered with Under Armour on his “Project Rock” equipment line since 2016. The XFL’s uniforms will even feature Project Rock Brahma Bull patches.

“We have built an incredibly strong relationship with Under Armour over the years as our trusted partner with Project Rock,” Johnson said. “For almost two years now, we have been working closely with Under Armour to ensure these new uniforms not only represent the pride and history of each city, but are also designed to withstand the physicality of this sport and each player leaving it all on the field come game day.”

“As a company that was born on the grid iron, we are excited to support the XFL, its athletes, and fans on this new venture,” said Under Armour’s SVP of global sports marketing Sean Eggert. “Our partnership with the League is an evolution of Under Armour’s commitment to support athletes on their journey to compete in sport with innovative performance solutions they need to train, compete, and recover both on and off the field.”

The uniform deal is just the beginning for the XFL and Under Armour’s union: Sources tell Front Office Sports that the pair will be announcing a broader partnership in the coming weeks.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
