As The CW continues to expand its portfolio, the premium live events for WWE NXT have a new home.

WWE’s NXT and The CW are expanding their relationship.

All of NXT’s premium live events will air on the broadcast network in a deal for 20 programs over “the next several years,” the sides confirmed to Front Office Sports

NXT is WWE’s developmental promotion. Its PLEs previously streamed on Peacock before moving to YouTube last month. The new deal begins with this summer’s Great American Bash. The PLEs will air live on both coasts.

WWE and The CW previously struck a five-year deal in 2024 for NXT’s weekly TV show to air on the network.

“WWE NXT has energized our Tuesday nights by consistently delivering a loyal and passionate fanbase to The CW every week,” The CW’s president, Brad Schwartz, said in a statement. “Adding WWE NXT Premium Live Events to our schedule is a natural fit, providing one broadcast destination for audiences to watch all their favorite Superstars, storylines and championship matches.”

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who is the lead booker for NXT, said, “The CW has played an integral role in raising the profile of our up-and-coming Superstars, and we are excited to bring NXT Premium Live Events to broadcast television for the first time ever.”

As FOS has previously covered, The CW has been pushing further into live sports. Other offerings include football and men’s and women’s basketball from the ACC, Pac-12, and Mountain West conferences, as well as the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, PBR Team Series, Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) events, and AVP Beach Volleyball.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
