Vanessa Bryant continues to fulfill the legacy of her late husband and daughter by helping underserved kids get the necessary resources to play sports — including a place to play.

On Sunday, she honored Kobe and Gianna Bryant by introducing a new basketball court for kids in the Pearson Park neighborhood of Anaheim, California.

Joining Bryant was basketball legend Nancy Lieberman, Mayor Harry Sidhu, and three Anaheim council members.

The court consists of the Lakers’ famous purple and gold colors with a butterfly sculpture of Kobe and Gigi sitting courtside at a game. The halfcourt logo features their names, as well.

“This court is a lasting legacy of that connection and will introduce a new generation of Anaheim kids to the joy of basketball,” Mayor Sidhu said.

Last week, Nike released images of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita” — a black-and-white shoe recognizing Bryant’s relationship with Gigi. All proceeds will go to the Mambacita Sports Foundation.
