Tickets Skyrocketing for Undefeated Alabama-Tennessee Matchup

  • Prices ranged from $300 to more than $1,000 a piece on both StubHub and Ticketmaster.
  • The matchup is one of three games next weekend featuring two undefeated teams.

The crew of ESPN “College GameDay” aren’t the only ones flocking to Knoxville, Tennessee, for this Saturday’s matchup between the Vols and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

On Monday afternoon, prices ranged from $300 to more than $1,000 a piece on both StubHub and Ticketmaster — not including fees.

  • Tickets at the upper echelon at Neyland Stadium were at least $368 each on Ticketmaster.
  • Seats closer to the field are worth more than $1,200 each on StubHub.

The SEC conference game isn’t normally this popular. But given the No. 6 Vols’ breakout undefeated season, it has quickly become one of the most highly anticipated of the week.

The matchup will feature a Tennessee team that has benefited from the first recruiting era of the name, image, and likeness era — and an Alabama team that, while still considered dominant, dropped to third in the AP Top 25 of the weekend.

In fact, it’s one of three featuring two undefeated teams who have played at least five games — only the second time in the history of college football, according to Chris Fallica.
