As Caitlin Clark prepares to eclipse the NCAA Division I women’s scoring record Thursday night in Iowa City, ticket demand continues to climb.

The cheapest ticket for the No. 4 Iowa Hawkeyes’ matchup against the Michigan Wolverines on Ticketmaster is $285 before fees, as of Wednesday afternoon. That number is $251 on StubHub, $237 on Vivid Seats, and $217 on SeatGeek.

But the average purchased ticket price is higher: The average price is $394 on TickPick, according to the Associated Press, while the average price over the last week is $375, per the reseller data collector Logitix. That figure has climbed $117 from two weeks ago, with a Logitix spokesperson telling the AP that rising average ticket prices are unusual unless they coincide with “building intrigue for an event.”

The Hawkeyes have sold out home and road games all season long while smashing viewership records as hype for Clark and her teammates continues to grow.

Clark is eight points away from surpassing the 3,527-point record that two-time WNBA champion Kelsey Plum set during her time at the University of Washington. The guard, who averages 32.1 points per game this season, is quickly approaching Pete Maravich’s record of 3,667 points, the highest for any D-I basketball player.
