Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams was cited for misdemeanor assault for shoving a credentialed media member after Monday night’s game against the Chiefs.

The charge filed Wednesday in Municipal Court of Kansas City comes after police concluded that Adams’ two-handed shove of Ryan Zebley was “intentional” and left Zebley with whiplash and a possible concussion.

Zebley went to the hospital and filed a report with police after the incident. He was described as a photographer in the police report.

A court date was set for Nov. 10, according to court documents.

“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game,” Adams tweeted after the incident. “Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran in front of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. That’s not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this.”

Adams is reportedly facing league discipline as well. The Raiders have a bye this weekend.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
