Jake Paul’s Promotion Company Lands Coveted, Marketable Phenom

Jake Paul has signed 18-year-old boxer Ashton Sylve to Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). Two large factors in the agreement: Sylve’s massive potential and his understanding of personal brand.

Sylve, who turned pro at 16, is already 7-0 with seven knockouts and the fourth-most followed boxer in his weight class, according to Paul’s business partner Nakisa Bidarian.

Paul, whose fame started on YouTube and is now 5-0 as a pro boxer, beat out other promotion companies interested in Sylve including Mayweather Promotions, Matchroom, and Golden Boy.

Paul has earned around $40 million from his time in the ring but said in February that he’s “probably made an extra $60 million on top of that” from his investments spanning the year prior — MVP launched in 2021. Other reports suggest his net worth is around $30 million.

“We believe Ashton has that talent, that flashiness, that style, that knockout power, that charisma to really be a massive, massive superstar and one of the next highest-paid boxer,” Paul said.

MVP’s roster also includes unified featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano, who will make history with Katie Taylor on April 30 as the first two women to face off at Madison Square Garden.

Ashton’s U.S. debut is set for May 21, while Paul’s next fight isn’t planned until August.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
