Lionel Messi’s first (partial) season in Major League Soccer was a boon for the league and Inter Miami CF — and it’s already paying dividends for 2024 and beyond.

On Thursday, Inter Miami announced that it had sold out its available season tickets for the 2024 MLS season. The club has launched a sign-up portal for fans to purchase limited single-game tickets once next season’s schedule is announced in the coming weeks.

The immense surge in demand for season ticket applications — as much as 1,215% — is even more impressive when considering the club reportedly raised the package prices by almost double.

As a result of Messi Mania, Inter Miami is projecting $200 million in 2024 revenue — more than triple its numbers from before the Argentine’s arrival.

Messi’s impact has been so immense that Miami isn’t even the only MLS team seeing more demand.

FC Dallas told Front Office Sports in September that it sold more 2024 season tickets in the three weeks following its Inter Miami match than in any three-week period in club history. The Philadelphia Union and New York Red Bulls also confirmed they have seen increases in season ticket sales.

MLS saw over 10.4 million fans come through the gates for games this season — a league record, and one that could be broken again next season with this momentum.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
