Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen Leads Fanatics Jersey Sales

  • Buffalo QB has had the most jersey sales since training camp.
  • Russell Wilson led in the most U.S. states: seven.
Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are getting plenty of hype heading into Thursday’s kickoff of the 2022 NFL season. Fans are putting their money where their mouths are when it comes to the 26-year-old quarterback.

Allen’s No. 17 jersey has racked up the highest overall sales since the start of training camps, according to Fanatics.

Chief executive officer Michael Rubin tweeted a graphic breaking down jersey sales. The Top 5 jerseys this summer all belong to QBs:

  • Allen, Bills
  • Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
  • Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos
  • Mac Jones, New England Patriots.

The results are something of a surprise. Jersey sales typically spike when a player moves to a team as fans scramble to salute their new favorite.

This will be Wilson’s first year under center in Denver. When Fanatics broke down jersey sales by state, the Broncos QB was No. 1, leading jersey sales in seven different U.S. states. Wilson topped jersey sales throughout the Rocky Mountain region and Hawaii.

The buzz around the Bills as Super Bowl favorites has been building all week among sports media.

At NFL Network, Rich Eisen, Steve Mariucci, Michael Irvin, Kurt Warner, Cynthia Frelund, and Rachel Bonnetta all picked the Bills to win Super Bowl LVII.

Over at ESPN, a whopping 18 out of 30 commentators (including Joe Buck, Adam Schefter, Dianna Russini, and Damien Woody) picked the Bills to win the Big Game.

Another 12 ESPN commentators including Steve Levy, Robert Griffin III, Mina Kimes, and Rex Ryan predicted Allen will win the league MVP trophy.
