ESPN Executive Editor Cristina Daglas Out After HR Investigation

ESPN executive editor Cristina Daglas is no longer with the company. She was placed on administrative leave in January following HR complaints.

ESPN executive editor Cristina Daglas is no longer with the company, sources told Front Office Sports. Employees were informed Wednesday.

Daglas was the second-ranking editor for ESPN’s digital properties. She had worked her way up to the role after joining the company in 2016.

FOS previously reported that Daglas had been placed on administrative leave in January after there were multiple HR complaints about her. The specific nature of the complaints is not known. In March, an attorney for Daglas sent ESPN a cease-and-desist letter accusing the company of “unlawful harassment, retaliation, and investigation,” and mistakenly also sent the letter to FOS.

Daglas and ESPN could not immediately be reached for comment.

Senior deputy editor Elizabeth Baugh was also placed on administrative leave in connection with the investigation into Daglas and left the company last month to become head of marketing, communications, and branding at Turki Alalshikh’s Ring Magazine

There has been a lot of turnover at the top of ESPN’s editorial operations in recent weeks, as Heather Burns, the senior deputy editor who oversaw NFL coverage, is also no longer with the company.
