Britt McHenry is no longer in her role as a press advisor for President Donald Trump’s Department of State, Front Office Sports has learned.

A State Department spokesperson told FOS that the agency does not comment on internal personnel matters. McHenry told FOS that she signed a resignation letter. Page Six was the first to report McHenry’s departure.

The former ESPN reporter was caught on a viral video throwing a drink in a man’s face at a Wizards game earlier this week. TMZ cited sources close to McHenry as alleging that the fans behind her were making inappropriate comments about Kyle Kuzma’s fiancée, Winnie Harlow, as well as other unspecified “inappropriate and misogynistic things” that instigated the incident.

McHenry was an NFL reporter for ESPN from 2014 to 2017, and a commentator for Fox News from 2018 until 2022.

It was a short run in the Trump administration, as she had just joined last month.
