Recently retired NFL defensive end J.J. Watt and his wife, Kealia Watt of the National Women’s Soccer League, have paid $7M for a Phoenix home. Another athletic couple, former NHL star Mike Modano and former pro golfer Allison Micheletti Modano sold the house to the Watts.

The 6,712 square-foot home rests in Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood with views of Camelback Mountain. It has a glass wall, two marble kitchen islands, a two-sided fireplace, a sports court, a lap pool, and an outdoor fire pit.

The Watts are simultaneously trying to sell their mansion in Paradise Valley, a Phoenix suburb, at a listed price of $13.5 million. J.J., a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, retired last year after 12 NFL seasons and his previous two with the Arizona Cardinals after a decade with the Houston Texans. His wife, Kaelia, is currently an NWSL free agent after last playing for the Chicago Red Stars.
