Prosecutors charged seven Michigan State football players — one with a felony — for their roles in a massive postgame altercation last month where video showed two University of Michigan players were assaulted.

The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office announced the charges in a statement on Wednesday after a lengthy University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security investigation of the Oct. 29 incident inside a tunnel at the Ann Arbor stadium.

No Michigan players were charged.

Defensive back Khary Crump faces a single felony assault charge, which carries a maximum of four years in prison and a fine of up to $60,000.

Itayvion Brown, Angelo Grose, Justin White, Brandon Wright, and Zion Young were each charged with misdemeanor aggravated assault. Each faces up to a year in jail and up to a $1,000 fine.

Jacoby Windmon was charged with simple misdemeanor assault & battery, which carries a max of 93 days in jail and fine of more than $500.

“All charges are merely allegations. Those charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty,” the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. “We understand and appreciate the widespread interest in this matter. Consistent with the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, however, we cannot and do not engage in pretrial publicity around pending cases.”

Michigan State suspended several players after the incident.
