LeBron James’ next media project will tell the story of one of hip-hop’s greatest modern legends.

James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Company is creating a docuseries about late rapper Nipsey Hussle. SpringHill will finance and executive produce the film, and Hussle’s Marathon Films is also involved in the project.

The film will follow Hussle’s rise from his youth in the Crenshaw neighborhood of Los Angeles, to his successful career in hip-hop, business, and activism.

It will feature never-before-seen archival footage, as well as interviews from over 50 collaborators, including Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, and Hussle’s longtime partner, Lauren London.

“It’s an incredible honor for SpringHill to have a part in sharing Nipsey’s story and legacy with the world,” James told Deadline, who first reported the news. “He used his gift to give back to his community and lived what it means to inspire, empower, and uplift others along the way.”
