WWE’s WrestleMania Does 2.2B Social Impressions, Outperforms SB LVI

  • WrestleMania 38 beat Super Bowl LVI in social media impressions, video views, engagements, and video watch time.
  • The event took place over two nights on April 2 and 3.
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

WWE’s flagship event created quite a stir on the internet, according to newly released statistics.

WrestleMania 38 recorded 2.2 billion social media impressions, 1.1 billion video views, 87 million engagements, and 13.1 million hours of video watch time, per WWE and digital analytics firm Conviva.

For comparison, February’s Super Bowl LVI had 1.8 billion impressions, 618 million video views, 78 million engagements, and 3.6 million hours of video watched.

It’s important to note that WrestleMania took place over two nights (April 2 and 3), as opposed to the Super Bowl’s one.

Still, it’s a towering achievement for WWE, which claims that the 156,352 two-night attendance was a new company record — though that number is disputed.

The second night’s main event featured SmackDown WWE Champion Roman Reigns defeating Raw WWE Champion Brock Lesnar to become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
