The Dallas Cowboys are cancelling season tickets for the 2020 NFL season, the team announced Thursday.

“Following the policies set by the National Football League, along with government and CDC guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic, capacity at AT&T Stadium will be limited and therefore, Dallas Cowboys season tickets will not be available for the 2020 season and will resume in the 2021 NFL season.”

Season ticket holders have been presented with two options for the 2020 season:

The first is to opt-in to have the first opportunity to purchase a limited number of tickets for a limited number of games that will go on sale via SeatGeek. The second is to decline the priority chance to purchase single game tickets, leaving them at risk of missing out entirely, but still retain their season ticket rights for the 2021 season.

The Cowboys will also extend current seat license agreements by a year, but won’t require an additional payment.

The Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Football Team have all also canceled season tickets for 2020 and are allowing fans to defer to 2021. Several teams have announced they will play the 2020 season without any fans in attendance for the foreseeable future.

In an open letter to fans on July 27, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the 2020 preseason is canceled and that everyone is going to have to adapt to the situation for the regular season to be successful.

“Adaptability and flexibility will be needed for the foreseeable future. After all, even the best game plan changes as new challenges arise. This year’s NFL Draft is a good example that embracing change can still deliver the fun and excitement we all crave,” Goodell wrote. “While this year will forever be defined by a heartbreaking global pandemic and a transformative social justice movement, I am reminded of the tenacious, resilient spirit of our country, the NFL community, and you, the greatest fans in the world. Thank you for your continued support.”
