Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe Have Filmed a Reunion Show

It’s unclear whether the episode of Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast will be a one-off or if the former Undisputed stars will continue to collaborate.

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless recently filmed a reunion show in the Los Angeles area, Front Office Sports has learned.

The show was taped for Sharpe’s popular Club Shay Shay podcast on the Playmaker network. It was not immediately clear whether the show would be a one-off or if there would be regular collaborations.

A rep for Playmaker did not respond to a request for comment.

Sharpe and Bayless cohosted Undisputed together for nearly seven years on FS1. Sharpe departed the program in 2023, and Bayless exited the following year.

In the pair’s final episode of Undisputed in 2023, they shook hands and spoke about their appreciation for each other. But there had also been tension that spilled on-air in the previous months during segments that focused on Damar Hamlin and Tom Brady.

After leaving Undisputed, Sharpe told Stephen A. Smith that he felt disrespected by Bayless in the Brady debate, in which Bayless accused the Hall of Fame tight end of being jealous of the then-Buccaneers quarterback.

“A lot of that is my fault. Because there were times that led up to that that I felt shots were taken and I let it go. And I should’ve said something then, but I didn’t. And I would bring it to people’s attention, and they brushed it up under the rug,” Sharpe said. “So that was my fault that it got to that point and he felt that he could go over the top in that situation. I think in any relationship where there’s host, co-host… once one partner has no respect for the other, the other partner then in turn loses respect for said partner. Then, I think it’s only a matter of time. Because in that moment, I had felt he had lost all respect for me. He had no respect for me.”

Sharpe continued, “I knew in that moment in time, it was only a matter of time. They were going to have to separate that. I knew that. I knew that. I was willing to play out the contract, but I knew it was going to end because he had started coming with greater, greater regularity, the disrespect.”

Bayless worked with Smith on ESPN’s First Take for several years before partnering with Sharpe on Undisputed, and Sharpe appeared regularly with Smith on ESPN after splitting with Bayless.

The former Broncos star built a significant presence on YouTube, with his Club Shay Shay show amassing 4.3 million subscribers, while Nightcap with Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has tallied 2.1 million subscribers. His 2024 episode with comedian Katt Williams famously attracted more than 93 million views.

As first reported by FOS, Bayless returned to First Take for a one-off appearance alongside Smith in May. Bayless currently hosts the Gridiron podcast with former NFL defensive back Aqib Talib.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
