Trey Wingo has followed through on his tease of getting the old NFL Live crew back together.
Wingo, Merril Hoge, Damien Woody, and Mark Schlereth are launching The OG Football Show, Front Office Sports has learned.
All four are former ESPN talents, who over the years worked on the flagship NFL Live studio show. Schlereth was a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Broncos and Redskins, and Woody won two Super Bowl championships with the Patriots. Hoge was a running back for the Steelers and Bears in an NFL career that spanned from 1987-94.
The show will air on YouTube every Monday, recapping the four best NFL games from the day before, with Wingo serving as the anchor and the other three as analysts. It will debut with a kickoff show previewing the upcoming football season on Sept. 7. The show will air through Super Bowl LXI and go dark during the offseason.
The show will launch on YouTube and standard audio podcast platforms. Excel Sports’s Kevin Hopkins, Ryan Orozco, and KC Murphy are working on further distribution and sponsorship arrangements.
