The 25 Highest-Paid Professional Golfers

  • Tiger woods holds down the top spot with earnings of more than $157 million.
  • Dustin Johnson is the highest-paid golfer with ties to LIV.
Jason Parkhurst-USA TODAY Sports

Amid the uncertainty surrounding the future of the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, a new opportunity has arisen. Now, numerous golfers including Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, and Jon Rahm are playing in both PGA Tour and LIV Golf events, greatly boosting their total career earnings.

Tiger Woods, however, continues to dominate financially. Woods leads the charge as the highest-paid golfer with total career earnings of more than $157.4 million, according to Spotrac. Tiger made headlines earlier this year following his split with Nike after a historic 27-year relationship.

Trailing Woods is Dustin Johnson with total career earnings of $147.4 million. Johnson is the highest-paid golfer with ties to LIV Golf, and his earnings reflect compensation from both the PGA Tour and LIV.

Holding the third and fourth positions are McIlroy and Mickelson at $140.9 million and $111.1 million, respectively. Woods, Johnson, McIlroy, and Mickelson are the only four golfers with total earnings of more than $100 million. Rounding out the top five is two-time PGA Tour champion Justin Thomas. Thomas makes $83.9 million, but sits well below his counterparts in the top four.
