A Golf Fan Just Got A Deal With Michelob

  • A photo of a fan cradling a beer instead of his phone behind Tiger Woods at the PGA Championship went viral.
  • ‘Michelob Ultra Guy’ now has his own ad and merchandise line.
Michelob Ultra

A new hero has emerged on the American sporting scene: The Michelob Ultra Guy.

A golf fan known only by Mark has gone viral after being spotted last week in the background of a photo taken at the PGA Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The pic shows a group of fans at Southern Hills Country Club with nearly all of them pointing their cell phones at Tiger Woods — except Mark.

He can be seen cradling an $18 can of Michelob Ultra and watching with his own two eyes.

After capturing the beer company’s attention, Mark now features in an ad and has his own line of merchandise, including a hat and T-shirt featuring the tagline, “It’s only worth it if you enjoy it.”

Looks like taking time away from your screen has even more benefits.
