The wins continue to pile up for the Houston Astros after earning a record-high in playoff shares in league history after winning their second World Series.

The Astros — valued at $1.98 billion, per Forbes — had a total postseason share that reached a record $516,347 pulled from a player pool of $107.5 million, which marked another MLB record.

The postseason payouts come from the league’s first expanded playoffs to 12 teams.

According to the MLB commissioner’s office, this year’s postseason payouts for the Astros were split from $38.7 million into 59 full shares, 14.14 partial shares, and $940,000 in cash awards.

The Atlanta Braves, who won the 2021 World Series over the Astros, had a player pool of $90.47 million — roughly $397,000 per share — but issued more shares than this year’s Astros.

The previous record for a postseason share came in 2017 from the Astros at $438,901.

The Philadelphia Phillies — who lost to the Astros in six games — had a postseason share of $296,255 divided from $25.8 million. The payouts were split from 72 full shares, 15.03 partial shares, and $20,000 in cash awards.
