Swin Cash is one of women’s basketball’s all-time greats. Now, she’s making strides in the men’s game and blazing a trail along the way.
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Cash said that she wants to be the first woman president of an NBA team in history.
“That’s where you have the autonomy to build and structure it in a way to have success,” Cash said. “Someday one of these 30 owners hopefully will take a shot on allowing me to be in that chair”
The 42-year-old has been the VP of basketball operations and team development with the New Orleans Pelicans since 2019.
Working alongside Trajan Langdon and David Griffin, Cash helped build a roster that gave New Orleans its first playoff appearance since 2018 this season.
In April, Cash was announced as a 2022 inductee into the Basketball Hall of Fame. She was a three-time WNBA champion and four-time All-Star during her playing days.
