Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson is getting a $14 million raise this season, as part of a revamped contract that ends his stalemate with Cincinnati.

Hendrickson, who was due to make $16 million in the final year of his current contract, will now make $30 million during the 2025 NFL season, his agents told multiple outlets, and still become an unrestricted free agent next March.

The star pass rusher had been seeking a new deal all offseason and incurred more than $450,000 in fines for missing minicamp and several days of training camp. He ended his holdout on July 30, but still had not been practicing or participating in preseason games.

Hendrickson, 30, led the NFL in sacks with 17.5 during the 2024 regular season. His raise makes him the sixth-highest paid defensive end this season when ranking players by the average annual value of new money in their deals.

Steelers defensive end T.J. Watt remains the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, with an AAV of $41 million in his new deal that was signed in July. Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett is second among defenders with a $40 million average.

The Cowboys and Micah Parsons are still at odds over a new deal for the fifth-year player who is set to make $24 million in the final season of his rookie contract.

Hendrickson’s deal comes just hours after one of the other highest-profile contract disputes ended earlier Monday. Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin agreed to a new three-year deal with Washington that will pay him up to $96 million over the course of the contract.
